Users are unable to access certain pages in Microsoft Edge but can open them in Google Chrome

Overview

Your users may be unable to access a particular page on Microsoft Edge while the page opens in Google Chrome. This trouble happens irrespective of whether users click on a link or paste the address directly into Microsoft Edge. Microsoft Edge does not give any error message; instead, it shows a spinning circle and a blinking cursor, indicating that the page is loading.

Solution

This issue was isolated to Microsoft Edge Enterprise Edition version 91.0.864.41, which caused a redirect URL upon failure and yielded an ERR_ABORTED error message. It would then repeatedly attempt to authenticate the user.

To solve the issue, please update your Edge browser to version 93.0.961.47 or later. If your organization manages updates, please internally request an upgrade to Edge. You can find the complete list of available versions here

Testing

Have users try to access the affected page after upgrading to the latest version of Microsoft Edge. Users will be able to access the page with no issues.
